This steel guitar listening & learning tool has met with a fantastic response and many steelers claim that it is the best teaching aid they've ever run across. Mike' approach to teaching and demonstrating the tabbed songs comes with years of teaching experience.

"OLD HAG"
This is Mike Headrick's new steel guitar instrumental CD. It contains steel guitar
versions of 12 of the most beautiful melodies Merle Haggard ever recorded. Mike felt the tribute would
not be complete without the majestic touch of RALPH MOONEY, who has been a tremendous influence on Mike over the years.
Ralph and Mike trade solos on three of the songs (marked with ***). On other tracks, Mike plays intos, fills,
and turnarounds in the Mooney style on a vintage Fender steel, while playing the main melody lines on Zum and Emmons steels.
The backing is provided by the Mikron Studio Band, which consists of some of Nashville's finest. (ORDER BELOW)
"Old Hag" Rhythm Tracks CD
This CD contains all 12 songs with all instruments except steel. This CD will allow you to
play the songs yourself in your own style. (ORDER BELOW)
"U B The Sideman" CD
This CD contains all 12 songs with vocals and
basic rhythm tracks. All the lead instruments have been removed so that you can enjoy backing up a great singer with your
own accompanyment. World acclaimed country vocalist SHANE WORLEY provides the lead vocals (gorgeous harmonies are added by Jackie harling and Jimmy Layne), and we know you'll agree that Shane is among the best of the best.
He sings Merle's songs in a way which would make The Hag proud. (ORDER BELOW)
Number Charts
All 12 songs have been charted in the Nashville
Number System, and are supplied with basic instruction for reading them. Once you understand the system, a song can be transferred to any key
without rewriting the chart. Many steelers are using the number system and find it useful as a learning tool. (ORDER BELOW)
Tab & Vocal Instruction
Now you can play four of the most beautiful songs on the CD just like Mike, note for note. The tablature is very simple to read and comes with written
instructions. Also supplied are 2 CDs containing more than two and a half hours of vocal instructions and demonstration. Mike plays each phrase, lick, and note, and explains how he played it.(ORDER BELOW)
